Belonging through Art: Volume One is the first book in a new series that gathers stories, reflections, and practices at the intersection of loneliness, connection, and creativity.

Drawing from Charlotte’s framework for how we belong to ourselves, others, places, art, and the divine—this volume explores how specific encounters with visual art, music, film, TV, dance, and literature can become touchpoints of comfort, resonance, and repair in everyday life.

Through brief essays and gentle prompts, it invites readers to notice how art is already helping them belong more deeply to their own lives and offers simple ways to cultivate that belonging with greater intention.

This series of books was first announced in June 2024, and I’m thrilled to have some co-authors on board for this first volume. We can’t wait to get this book into the world!
